Christians have to wrestle with these moral issues from a biblical perspective; not all the political tension surrounding it. This is the “war against slavery” in our day: abolishing abortion and IVF and now the sickening Reciprocal IVF were same-sex couples murder generations of children so that they can have a biological child. We justly deserve to be destroyed as a nation if we persist in these sins… just like the Israelites, the people of God, sacrificed their children and infanticide to Molech when they apostatized from the Lord. Those sins were exactly the reason why scripture says the land vomited out and why the Canaanites were to justly be destroyed. 

“And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people. ‘Therefore you shall keep My ordinance, so that you do not commit any of these abominable customs which were committed before you, and that you do not defile yourselves by them: I am the Lord your God.’ ”” Leviticus‬ ‭18‬:‭21‬-‭22‬, ‭24‬-‭30‬ ‬‬

This is a hill every minister and every Christian should die on. Yes there is forgiveness and God’s grace, but this is a war we have to fight 🙏👶

Repent not just in word, but in action:

Nations are accountable. We need to Repent—

“The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. And the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it, if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it. “Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.” ’ ”” Jeremiah‬ ‭18‬:‭7‬-‭11‬

His justification, for this, claims that he is not wandering from scripture and rather embracing a view of God‘s love that he is eager to share with others. But he is perverting the truth.

There is a massive danger when our desire to love others and be nice (and decide for ourselves what we consider is just or injustice, rather than submitting to God‘s moral law). This results in us redefining what the scripture itself says, and making the cross of Christ to no effect!

Remembering today that before the Lord’s return, there will be a great falling away, a massive apostasy from the truth. And, sadly, this man has done just that. Perhaps, the Lord will grant him repentance and he will be renewed in the truth, but for now, his teaching and ministry are worthless and heretical. The proper response is church discipline and excommunication, that perhaps he will be awakened to his senses and return to the truth. 

“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.” II Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭10‬-‭17‬

“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬, ‭17‬-‭21‬

“Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.”

Yes, the impact of christianity on history and culture is unescapable. And while the philosophy of how it has shaped us is intriguing and compelling, how can we personally remain distant from making a choice about its’ claims?
